Sofie's the official name, but I mainly go by Soof. 22, female-ish, Belgian, gay as a triple rainbow, devoted pastafarianist, grammar police, rubber duck enthusiast, feminist, fangirl.
Obsessions include but are not limited to: Harry Potter, Warehouse 13, Battlestar Galactica, Orphan Black, Orange Is The New Black, Adventure Time, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Firefly, Welcome To Night Vale, Doctor Who, Legend of the Seeker, Teen Wolf, Lost Girl, The Hunger Games, Skins, Game of Thrones, Pretty Little Liars, Starkid, and Pixar (with a dash of Disney).
I usually tag my fandom stuff with the name of the series/movie/book/etc. If there's anything else you want me to tag, don't be afraid to ask.

dear social justice bloggers
God fucking damnit is it really so frakking hard to understand that when POC complain about white people, or when women say they hate men, or even when trans* or nonbinary people use the phrase “die cis scum”, they’re not actually talking about every single white person/man/cis person and don’t actually wish violent deaths upon these people? They’re saying: “Gosh, after living my entire life in a system that oppresses me, discriminates against me, bullies me, ignores me, makes me fear for my safety, denies my existence, doesn’t even pretend to try and bring the people who kill me to justice, it would be mighty fine if [insert privileged group here] would stop breathing down my neck for a bit.”
They are taking out a life’s worth of frustration, powerlessness and anger on a website that has the ability to make people sob with one post and fall from their chairs laughing with the next. I refuse to believe that anything those “I hate privileged group X” posts cause is more than mild discomfort or irritation, for any more than the fleeting seconds it takes to read the post and scroll down to the next. Plus, with just one click (try the unfollow button, “open new tab” or that little red x at the top of your screen) you can be rid of those things that make you feel oh so sad and go back to a world where people kiss the ground you walk on. For these people, however, the internet - and tumblr in particular - is often the only place where they feel anything close to safe enough to express negative thoughts about their oppressors, and even then, they often recieve rape or death threats. So please, next time you want to complain about something, complain about the things that are making these people go “I hate privileged group X” instead of their completely valid reactions to the discrimination they face.
One last news flash for you before I take my leave: you might not think you’re a misogynist, a racist, a fatshamer, a homophobe, etc. but the chances of you never doing or saying anything that was at least one of the above is literally nonexistent. I am a white person. I’m not intentionally racist, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t fuck up sometimes. I have straight friends who are generally wonderful, but can be ignorant and hurtful without meaning to. I’m a woman, and I definitely consider myself a feminist, but I still sometimes catch myself thinking something misogynistic, because that’s just how pervasive these things are. Hell, even if I were this perfect human being who never did, said or thought anything wrong, I would still be benefitting from certain forms of privilege that others do not have. And if they feel like taking out those feelings in a way that might momentarily hurt mine, I will fucking applaud them.

imagine a high school romance movie about a girl who works her ass off to play on the football team and eventually becomes the quarterback and she dates one of the cheerleaders
Imagine a movie where the female protagonist does not have a love story in her plot and there is still somehow a story
my cute little text post about hoping for queer representation and stories about non-feminine women was definitely the right place to make this observation right on

talking to white people about reverse racism
what the hell ever. Every race group has racism towards every other race. I have been denied service at a convenience store because I’m white. I know it was because I was white because I had my black friend go back to that store an hour later and they sold to him but didn’t sell to me. But I am fully aware that racism exist in EVERYONE, I don’t care if you’re MLK reincarnate.
